October 3 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm| $35
Relationships are a key component to shared ministry. Regular training in maintaining boundaries can help to ensure those relationships stay healthy. Every synod rostered minister is expected to attend boundary training every five years. Anyone who has a desk at a congregation should consider attending a boundary workshop to better understand power dynamics and self-care, so congregations are encouraged to send their entire staff. In addition to presentations on healthy public leadership, cultural awareness, and liability issues, presenters are invited to lead four break-out sessions covering finances, social media, children’s safety, and detoxifying masculinity.
As a part of the training, attendees are asked to listen to a 40-minute podcast before the workshop. We will discuss this podcast at the workshop. You can listen to the podcast here.
