Essential functions:
* Leadership: work as a member of the senior leadership team; lead and supervise staff and teams; and provide leadership resources to ministry groups and volunteers
* Operational systems: manage and evaluate workflow, workloads, and technology systems to align with overall organizational strategies
* Human resources and supervision: manage HR processes and ensure compliance with employment laws and church policies
* Business/finance management: lead all financial activities, monitor financial performance, provide regular financial reports, and collaborate with leadership to maintain strong financial controls
* Building maintenance, security, and development: provide oversight and property prioritization, negotiate contracts, monitor and maintain protection of church assets, serve as point person for all land development
* Other: assist in smooth and successful integration of activities of the church, assist in conflict management, serve as community contact, and provide emergency backup if needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, experience in administration/management, strong financial acumen, as well as strong faith, communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving, organization, and equipping staff and others

Thanks to a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, the Director of Family Faith will convene parents and caretakers from the Minneapolis Area Synod’s New and Strategic Ministries to learn and develop practices for faith formation in the home. Family Faith: Deepening Roots, Strengthening Families seeks to equip parents from culturally specific, ethnically specific, and multicultural congregations to share their faith and cultural traditions with their children, to create opportunities for families to connect with one another, and to develop faith formation resources in the cultural context and language of the congregations. With input from the leaders of the Synod’s New and Strategic Ministries, the Director of Family Faith will develop curriculum, convene and coordinate learning cohorts, plan retreats and large group gatherings, and work with partners to develop faith formation resources. This person will be grounded in spiritually centered faith practices and a commitment to collaborative education models. The Director will work with individuals and congregations from a diverse range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds and will demonstrate experience working in intercultural settings and communicating across cultures.
