Carmel Lutheran Church has an immediately opening for a full time Church Business Administrator in a small to medium sized church located in a vibrant and youthful Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood. Main responsibilities include financial management, communications, human resources, property and policy management, and shepherding volunteers in these areas according to their gifts. Past experience of serving/working in a church or non-profit setting in these areas is preferred but not required. Along with good organizational, communication, and financial skills, the ability to work in a team setting will be needed to administer day to day church operations. Some of the more specific duties will include administering payroll, financial giving statements, working with suppliers & contractors, equipment contracts, website and social media oversight, knowledge of building and grounds upkeep, newsletters and weekly email alerts. We have had a Parish Nurse program since 1999 and have great support from our two pastors and our Care Team Ministry. Our much-loved Parish Nurse has resigned due to health issues. We would love to fill this position ASAP. St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church (SAPLC) considers its Parish Nurse ministry to be a significant part of the church’s mission in providing spiritual care, health education, support and God’s love to its members. A former Parish Nurse would be available for orientation of a newcomer.

Requirements: 1) Registered Nurse currently licensed in Minnesota (B.S.N. or B.A.N. preferred), 2) Successful completion of a foundations course in parish nursing (ELPNA) or faith community nursing, and 3) Certification in Basic Life Support for Health Professionals.
