Position Title: Director of Faith Formation and Shared Ministry

Organization Name and City: Pilgrim Lutheran Church, St. Paul

Brief Position Description and How to Apply: Pilgrim Lutheran Church is in search of a new colleague to collaboratively and creatively lead with us as Director of Faith Formation and Shared Ministry. The position includes both direct face-to-face ministry with all ages and behind-the scenes organizing of lay leaders. The focus of the position is to:
1) equip children, youth and adults to discover and develop their passions so they may be active ministers in the church, according to their gifts and
2) envision, shape and implement faith formation as a gross generational expression of the full life of congregation in collaboration with the Pastor of Next Generation Ministries.

Responsibilities include:
Sunday Mornings: directly support and equip lay people in leading Sunday School, confirmation and parent groups; rotating in direct ministry with Pastor of Next Generation Ministries
Sunday Evenings (Sept-Apr): organize, support and equip lay people in leadership of Sunday night contemplative worship (Celtic, Compline, and Nordic), as well as building engagement in the evening worshipping community
Wednesday Evenings: directly organize and support lay people in leading midweek programming with focus on strengthening community and service for all ages
Project Management: such as small groups, summer camp and events
Supervision: supervise up to four Nursery Attendants.

Resilient self-starter to takes initiative and learns quickly. Energetic dreamer who collaborates, experiments and shares ideas. Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to relate one-on-one with authenticity, relationship building skills with children, youth and adults, experience organizing people and fluency with social media.

Position Title: Director of Children’s Ministries

Brief Position Description and How to Apply: We are seeking an energetic, self-directed individual to develop and implement our children’s ministries program, from birth to 5th grade, including VBS and worship responsibilities. 30 hours/week.
