Summer camp can be transformational in anyone’s life. In under-resourced neighborhoods, congregations are sometimes the only provider of a summer camp experience, which can also be a lifeline for parents who seek safe spaces for their kids to play and learn.

In many neighborhoods, these camps can only occur when we are church together, fostering partnerships among many and various congregations across our synod. Congregations in poorer neighborhoods can only meet the significant needs of their community by building relationships with churches that are have greater financial resources.

Together, these congregational partners (and especially the campers and their families) can all experience transformation.
