[God’s self] granted that some are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…Ephesians 4:11-12
The Synod is actively working with our faith partners and neighbors so that all experience gracious invitation into life-giving Christian community and live in just and healthy neighborhoods. We have a responsibility to activate the community in our churches and to participate in God’s action alongside our neighbors, both near and far. We currently have a number of initiatives that help us do just that through prayer, faith formation, community engagement, and social justice.
