Becoming Real: Creating Genuine Relationships in a Tricky World

A Cherish All Children event for Confirmation classes and youth! Pastor Angela Denker will talk about the messages many young people are receiving – especially online – about the Gospel story and about God. We will emphasize that all people (and creation) are created in God’s image, to help form identity and purpose for teenagers, grounded in God’s love. We will also talk about Jesus’ example of an empathetic masculinity, grounded in the stories of his friendships with women in the Bible, and his open grieving after the death of his friend, Lazarus. Discussion time for Confirmation groups will be provided.
