DESCRIPTION:This new HEALTH PROMOTER course is designed for volunteer laypersons or church staff who wish to begin and lead health efforts to encourage physical\, emotional and spiritual wellness among faith community members. Promoting health in your church strengthens relationships\, service and congregational care. \nHealth Promoters work with your church’s leaders to identify and respond to health-related needs by planning health education events and providing support for those struggling with health issues. DESCRIPTION:One of the most powerful tools we can leverage to bring more resources and opportunities to our communities and create positive change is by championing our causes. \nWho Should Attend\nThis training is open to individuals who attend a faith community within Hennepin County and are interested in learning how to engage with the legislative process on issues they care about. Community members\, social workers and other social services providers are invited to attend this in-depth training all about the legislative process.
