SUMMARY:What is Discipleship in the Information Age?
DESCRIPTION:What is Discipleship in the Information Age? \nCertain core principles of faithful discipleship remain constant — such as telling the truth (1 John 2:24) — but the way disciples practice them in the 21st century may look different from how it looked in the 1st. Faith is a main driver of human behavior and so those who teach it bear additional power and responsibility. \nMonday\, December 12; 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.\nMinnesota Church Center\n122 West Franklin Avenue\, Minneapolis \nJoin a clergy convening organized by Minnesota Council of Churches and the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy to share what faithful discipleship in the information age means to you. \nFor more information or to register: Peacemakers | Minnesota Council of Churches (mnchurches.org)

SUMMARY:As the Dark Awaits the Dawn: An Evening Vespers Service for the Winter Solstice
DESCRIPTION:As the Dark Awaits the Dawn: An Evening Vespers Service for the Winter Solstice \nOn the longest night\, many of us are yearning for a presence stronger than ourselves to carry our load. Come hold your thoughts\, struggles\, and prayers with us\, and throw your burdens into the fire through a shared burning burdens ceremony. This is worship for all\, Lutherans and non-Lutherans alike\, so please invite any of your loved ones who you think would benefit from this shared space. This vespers service will include ecological\, mystic poetry\, and liturgy; and will contemplate the resurrective power of fire\, as well as the resounding value of being in community during our darkest hours of the year. Tree of Life Lutheran’s Sophia Spiegel and other musicians will be leading us in sung worship and a burning burdens ceremony within the service. \nWednesday\, December 21; 6:30 p.m. \nGrace NE Lutheran Church\n1500 6th Street NE\, Minneapolis \nThis service was brought to you by the Good Shepherd Foundation.
