Position summary: Knife River Lutheran Church (KRLC) in Knife River, Minnesota is looking for a musician to fill a permanent organist/pianist position. KRLC is a vibrant church community with an active adult choir, hand bell choir, Dulcimer group, and soloists supporting religious services.
Responsibilities
– Provide organ/piano music for religious services using Kawai baby grand piano, Jaeckel pipe organ (57 keys and 25 pedals), and Yamaha CP300 Stage Piano
– Play preludes, postludes, offertories, and other pieces as required
– Assist in selecting and rehearsing music with other performers
– Coordinate music with the liturgy and preaching
– Occasionally perform at weddings, funerals, and other special events as requested and with additional compensation
– Option of accompanying the adult choir, JOYFUL, for additional hours
Requirements
– Proficient in playing the organ/piano
– Familiarity with religious and classical music
– Excellent sight-reading and improvisation skills
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with others
– Flexibility in adapting to various liturgical styles and music preferences
– Availability to work on Sunday mornings and occasional evening services
– Previous experience in church music is preferred

Position title: Choir Director
Congregation: New Promise Lutheran, St George, Utah
Position summary:
1. This position oversees and develops all aspects of our worship ministry and other duties as needed.
2. Reports to the pastor of the congregation.
3. Oversight of the worship accompanist.
4. Work with musical volunteers involved in the worship service, i.e. choir, liturgists, band, and special music volunteers.
5. Oversight of the children’s music ministry.
6. Works with the pastor and worship teams to develop worship services.
7. Assists the pastor in planning additional worship services if needed.
8. Oversight of recruitment, training and scheduling of the choir.
9. Planning of worship related activities with the worship team, oversight of multi-media maintenance of music library and copyright licenses.
10. Other duties as needed and assigned.
**Flexible work environment.
** Salary: $500/month based on 15 to 20 hours/month
