Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2
Lord of Life Lutheran, Ramsey
Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
Fear, scarcity, and division invade our streets and our world, threatening violence and leaving many feeling isolated and uncertain. But the church, set free in Christ for such a time as this, offers an alternative story and way of being. Grounding ourselves in our faith, we turn to one another for community, encouragement, and holy provocation. At this year’s Synod Assembly, we will reflect on how to set a course for the church amid troubling times by turning again to our unwavering hope that comes from God’s unwavering faithfulness.

- There is a budget conversation taking place on Zoom on March 24, at 6:30 p.m. Register to learn more about the proposed budget for 2027.
- We will again be partnering with Lutheran Social Service of MN to help pack snack packs for Freedom School, a free summer program to build STEM and reading skills in North Minneapolis, and 200 menstrual kits for Metro Homeless Youth Services’ outreach workers to distribute to young people experiencing homelessness. Participants can stop by anytime to help assemble Snack Packs and Period Kits that support youth experiencing homelessness and students in LSSMN programs. This is a great service experience where everyone can pitch in decorating bags, assembling kits, or just lending a hand for a few minutes. Together, we’ll create hundreds of care‑filled kits that offer nourishment, dignity, and encouragement to our neighbors. Sign up to bring materials >
- Don’t forget! Your congregation can bring one youth voting member in addition to your allotted lay voting members. Find out how many voting members your congregation can bring.
